Returning to a place where you feel truly at home brings a unique kind of happiness. For me, coming back full time to the Four Seasons after several years away has been a deeply rewarding experience. It’s not just about the job itself, but the people, the environment, and the sense of belonging that fills my days with joy and purpose.

The Journey Away and Back

I first joined the Four Seasons in June 2022, excited to immerse myself in the hospitality life. After six months, I shifted to on-call status to explore a new path as a Training Coordinator in the mental health field, supported by a grant position. This role allowed me to work Monday through Friday, focusing on education and training, which has always been a passion of mine.

Despite the rewarding nature of this work, I found myself gradually moving to weekend shifts at the Four Seasons. The pull of the team and the environment was strong. After 3.5 years of balancing these worlds, I made the decision to return full time to the Four Seasons. This choice has brought a wave of nostalgia and a renewed sense of happiness.

Why Returning Feels So Special

Coming back full time has made a noticeable difference in my daily life. I feel less tense and more connected. The presence of my colleagues, the familiar routines, and the shared goals create a supportive atmosphere that lifts my spirits.

Here are some reasons why this return has been so meaningful:

  • Stronger Connections: Being with the team more often means building deeper relationships. Their presence brings me joy and a sense of community.

  • Renewed Passion: Working full time reignites my enthusiasm for wellness and service within the Four Seasons environment.

  • Improved Well-being: The balance of meaningful work and supportive colleagues reduces stress and enhances my overall happiness.

The Power of Team and Environment

The Four Seasons is more than a workplace; it’s a family. The camaraderie and shared commitment to excellence create an environment where everyone feels valued. Returning full time has reminded me how much I missed this dynamic.

The team’s energy is contagious. Whether it’s a quick chat during a break or collaborating to resolve guests needs, these moments contribute to a positive workday. This sense of belonging is a powerful motivator and a source of daily joy.

Lessons Learned from My Experience

Balancing different roles taught me valuable lessons about following my passion and the importance of community:

  • Listen to Your Heart: Even when exploring new opportunities, staying true to what brings you joy matters.

  • Value Relationships: The people you work with can greatly influence your happiness and success.

  • Embrace Change: Shifting roles and responsibilities can lead to growth and clarity about what you truly want.

Moving Forward with Gratitude

Returning full time to the Four Seasons has been a gift. I am grateful for the chance to reconnect with my passion and my team. This experience reminds me that sometimes, the best path is the one that feels like home.

If you find yourself at a crossroads, consider what brings you joy and connection. Your work environment and colleagues can make all the difference in your well-being and fulfillment.
